Solemn oath taking ceremony for the newly recruited professional soldiers in the Army

Today (16 January), the Minister of Defense, Vlado Misajlovski, together with the Chief of the General Staff, Major General Sashko Lafchiski, and the Training and Doctrine Commander, Brigadier General Lulzim Nuredini, attended the oatch-taking ceremony for the new 300 professional soldiers that took place at the "Alekso Demnievski - Bauman" barracks in Veles.

Minister Misajlovski emphasized in his address that the oath of the professional soldiers is not just a formal act, but a promise to protect the state and citizens. "By taking the solemn oath, you have taken a significant step in your lives. These are not just words, but a promise that connects you to the people and the homeland, that you will be the shield of the state," said Minister Misajlovski, adding that professional soldiers have the honor of being part of an institution that represents a large army family. Misajlovski said that the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff continue to work together to improve the working conditions and promote the rights of the Army members, with the aim of creating a strong, motivated and professional Army, ready to respond to all challenges and protect citizens and the state.

"Today you confirm your determination, love for the homeland and interest in the military profession and put yourself in the service of something that is most sacred, unique and one of a kind," said the Chief of the General Staff of the Army, Major General Sashko Lafchiski, adding that the new soldiers are given opportunities for continuous improvement, learning from the best, sharing experiences and participating in international missions, where they will be able to demonstrate the skills, professionalism and readiness of Macedonian soldiers.

The Training and Doctrine Commander, Brigadier General Lulzim Nuredini, in his address to the new soldiers, pointed out: "By taking the solemn oath, you officially enter active military service and assume a constitutional, legal and moral obligation to the Army and the state," emphasizing: "This obligation begins today and lasts throughout your entire military career."

Today's oath-taking ceremony of the newly recruited professional soldiers was attended by senior representatives from the Ministry of Defense and the Army, as well as relatives and family members of the new professional soldiers.
