Today, at the Ministry of Defence, Minister Vlado Misajlovski had a meeting with the Ambassador of Italy, H.E. Andrea Silvestri and the Defence Attaché Colonel Stefano Angioni.
Minister Misajlovski expressed his gratitude for Italy’s allied support.
The focus of the talks was the signing of the Letter of Intent signed by Minister Misajlovski last week together with the Ministers of Defence of Italy, Albania and Bulgaria for the establishment of a harmonized corridor for military mobility as part of the Pan-European Corridor VIII, for the needs of the Alliance .
Minister Misajlovski and Ambassador Silvestri concluded that the two countries will jointly continue to contribute to the security of the region and the Alliance’s eastern flank and agreed that continuous and productive bilateral defence cooperation in various areas will continue.
At the meeting, Minister Misajlovski informed the ambassador and the defence attaché about the fires that engulfed our country and emphasized that so far help has been received from several countries.
