On the 18th anniversary of the helicopter crash, Minister Misajlovski and General Lafchiski laid a wreath of fresh flowers at the memorial at Katlanovsko Blace
Today, 12 January (Monday), the Minister of Defense Vlado Misajlovski and the Chief of the General Staff of the Army, Major General Sashko Lafchiski, laid a wreath of fresh flowers at the memorial at Katlanovsko Blace in memory of the eleven members of the Air VING who lost their lives 18 years ago while returning from the ALTHEA mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

On this occasion, Minister Misajlovski stated that their mission was noble and that they will never be forgotten because through their actions they showed how to love 
one’s country and how to love one’s homeland.

The memorial near Katlanovsko Blace, family members, as well as delegations from the Operations Command, the First Infantry Brigade, the Air VING, and the Municipality of Petrovec, paid tribute to the fallen members.
With a one-minute silence and the laying of wreaths with fresh flowers by the members of the Air VING, respect was paid to the eleven fallen members at the memorial in front of the VING's Command at the „NH Strasho Pindzur“ Barracks in Petrovec, as well as in the memorial park in Camp Butmir in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, where our members were part of the ALTHEA mission.
 
In the helicopter accident, on this day eighteen years ago, while returning from the peace mission ALTHEA, Lieutenant Colonel Toni Spasovski, Major Goran Ristovski, Captains Brane Spasovski and Igor Gjoreski, Sergeant Majors Slavcho Vasilev and Toni Davitkovski, Staff Sergeants Janko Shirikj and Aleksandar Taskovski, Sergeants Miki Ivanovski and Aleksandar Vasikj, and Corporal Zlatko tragically lost their lives.
