Today (30 December), a pre-New Year’s gathering was held at the Ministry of Defence with employees in defence and the General Staff of the Army, in the course of which awards were presented on the occasion of the retirement of members of the Army and the Ministry.
The Minister of Defence, Vlado Misajlovski, and the Chief of the General Staff of the Army, Major General Sashko Lafchiski, expressed their gratitude and respect to the retired members for their contribution, dedication to service, and their achievements to date. They congratulated the retired members on their retirement, wishing them good health, happiness, and a long and fulfilling pension.
Members of the Army and the Ministry of Defence, through their selfless and professional engagement, have made a significant contribution to the operational performance and combat readiness of the commands and units of the Army. During the execution of their official duties, they continuously demonstrated a high degree of integrity, discipline, and dedication, fully aware of the place and role of the Army in society. Through the professional and responsible execution of their tasks, they will permanently remain a part of the collective memory of the Army.
Minister Misajlovski and General Lafchiski expressed their gratitude to all employees in the defence and to all members of the Army for their efforts and commitment in carrying out the tasks and strengthening the defence. They also stated that an even more intensive year of work follows, which will further strengthen the synergy between the Army and the Ministry, aiming for these institutions to remain recognized as the most successful institutions in the country.
