Minister of Defense Vlado Misajlovski, together with the Chief of the General Staff of the Army, Major General Sasko Lafchiski, visited today the members of the 3rd Infantry Battalion at the “Kuzman Josifovski – Pitu” barracks in Tetovo.
During the visit, the new 3rd Infantry Battalion Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Mile Stanoevski, briefed the visitors on the engagement of the members of this battalion in the ALTHEA, KFOR missions, as well as in NATO multinational forces in Romania and Bulgaria. Lieutenant Colonel Stanoevski also briefed them on the contribution of the battalion members in supporting the Ministry of Interior in securing the southern border and preventing security threats and strengthening the security of the Idrizovo Penal Correctional Facility.
During the visit, Minister Misajlovski also visited some of the facilities that are scheduled to be reconstructed in order to improve the working conditions of the Army members.
During the visit, Minister Misajlovski emphasized that caring for each member of the Army is a priority for the Ministry, especially providing appropriate working conditions, because each of them makes a significant contribution to the protection and security of our citizens.
