Misajlovski at the celebration of Military Academy Day – We are creating top-notch officer staff capable of meeting modern security challenges

"Today is the day we are recognizing the generations of cadets who completed their education right here, the officers and professors who, through their work, knowledge, and dedication, have built and advanced the Military Academy as one of the most important pillars of the Macedonian defence system," said Minister Vlado Misajlovski today (12 June) at the ceremony marking the Military Academy Day of "General Mihailo Apostolski" at the "Goce Delchev" barracks in Skopje.

Misajlovski emphasized that over the past two years, significant projects have been carried out at the Academy, which are an investment in future generations of officers, and that in the coming period, investment in modern education will continue through the refurbishment of facilities, the construction of a Military Museum, and the establishment of a laboratory for advanced information technologies. “

It is more than clear that today security is not only defended on the ground. It is also defended in cyberspace, in the information sphere, through scientific research, technological innovations, and international cooperation. That is exactly why the accreditation of the new study program in cyber security and digital forensics is in its final phase, as well as the reaccreditation of the existing study programs for command and staff academy, security and defence, cyber security, and crisis management", underlined Minister Misajlovski. He added that the Military Academy was recognized even beyond the country's borders, and that the knowledge created at the Academy was respected within NATO and the international academic community.

The Dean of the Military Academy, Colonel Nenad Taneski, emphasized that the Military Academy represents a unique higher education scientific institution, which, in its organizational and functional setup, occupies a special place in the national educational and defence system. He stressed that the Academy actively works on improving military education and the implementation of several significant development projects, for which it has strong support from the Ministry in general, and Minister Misajlovski in particular.

"The Military Academy has a sacred mission — to train personnel who will safeguard the security, sovereignty, and reputation of Macedonia, as well as defend its language, identity, and historical truth with dignity. Our duty is to build strong institutions, educated and honest generations, and a country that will be respected. And it all starts right here — with the knowledge, discipline, and patriotism instilled in every cadet and student at the Military Academy", said Colonel Taneski.

The Chief of the General Staff of the Army, Major General Sashko Lafchiski, Deputy Minister Admir Shabani, guests from the military diplomatic corps, and from the Army and the Ministry of Defence were also present at today's ceremony.
