Deputy Minister Shabani: Investing in knowledge, science and human potential are essential prerequisites for long-term stability

Today, at the Member of Parliament Club, Deputy Minister of Defence, Admir Shabani, opened the International Scientific Conference entitled "Multipolarity and Sustainable Security in Europe".

In his welcoming address, Shabani pointed out that geopolitical changes and the emergence of new security risks, hybrid threats, cyber challenges, as well as the consequences of regional and global conflicts are raising essential questions about the future of security in Europe that require an approach that transcends national borders.

"As a NATO member and a country that actively contributes to regional and European security, we continue to invest in the development of our defence capabilities, as well as in the knowledge, science and human potential as essential prerequisites for long-term stability," emphasized the Deputy Minister.

He added that the partnership between defence institutions and the academic community is of exceptional importance and that it is precisely scientific research, critical thinking, and the exchange of ideas that will contribute to creating better quality policies and more effective responses to contemporary security challenges.

The international scientific conference is organized by the Faculty of Philosophy - Institute for Security, Defence and Peace Studies in cooperation with the Ministry of Defence and includes participants from Turkey, Croatia, Latvia, and Serbia.
