Minister of Defence Vlado Misajlovski, together with the Chief of the General Staff, Major General Sasko Lafchiski, addressed the employees at the pre-New Year’s gathering at the Ministry of Defence today, and awarded recognitions to retired members, officers and non-commissioned officers of the Army for their professional engagement, achievements and contribution to the reforms of the Army, and officially promoted two Army officers to the rank of colonel.
Minister Misajlovski thanked the employees of the Ministry and the Army for their cooperation and dedication to their work and told them that the following year they will continue to work together and united for an even better defence and a stronger Army.
“We have had excellent cooperation over the past six months, showing trust and synergy to continue working together successfully in the coming year. I thank all of you for everything you have done”, said the minister.
General Lafchiski thanked the retired members for their long service in the Army and for the fact that they “have done a lot and paved the way for the next generations”. He wished a successful new year and joyful holidays to the members and employees of the ministry and the Army, and expressed hopes that cohesion in the work will continue in 2025.
The gathering was also attended by Deputy Minister of Defence Elfet Ismaili, Deputy Chief of the General Staff, Major General Azim Nuredin, and heads in the Ministry and chiefs in the General Staff.
