Yesterday, 9 January, in Ramstein, Germany, Deputy Minister of Defence, Elfet Ismaili, participated in the meeting of the Ukraine Contact Group chaired by the US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin. The meeting in Germany was also attended by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky.
Nearly fifty allies and partners who are part of the Ukraine Contact Group confirmed their support for the country defending its independence and sovereignty. They expressed their support for the territorial integrity of Ukraine.
On the sidelines of the meeting, Deputy Minister Ismali spoke with Secretary of Defense Austin, in the course of which she reiterated that our country will continue to support Ukraine in the future, in accordance with its requirements and our capacities. Ismaili and Austin agreed that the US-Macedonian defense cooperation is at the highest level and that it represents yet another demonstration of the strategic partnership and alliance between the two countries.
