Strengthening the defence cooperation with the Netherlands, signed bilateral defence cooperation plan

The Macedonian-Dutch defence relations are advancing, and proof of this is the recently signed Bilateral Cooperation Plan which foresees the implementation of activities in multiple areas such as joint exercises and trainings at TA Krivolak, support and cooperation in the field of military medicine, a joint initiative for a conference on Resolution 1325 – Women, Peace, and Security, etc.

At a recent meeting between the Director for International Cooperation in the Ministry of Defence, Krste Malinkovski, and the Dutch Defence Attaché, Colonel Jurgen Fleishman, in the course of which the afore-mentioned Plan was signed, the interlocutors underlined the commitment of both allied countries to develop and enhance the defence cooperation, which is continuously advancing. Malinkovski noted that an example of the Kingdom of the Netherlands’ dedication is the appointment of a resident Defence Attaché in the country.

The Macedonian-Dutch cooperation in the defence dates back to 1997, with the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding.
