Macedonian institutions recognize the need to build social resilience – conclusion of the workshop dedicated to this topic

A workshop on building resilience between national institutions was held at the Army House from 21 to 23 April, focusing on the implementation of the seven core resilience requirements included in the NATO defence planning process. The workshop covered topics such as interoperability with the NATO crisis response system, policies, experiences and capabilities for building national resilience in accordance with the "whole of government approach" and host nation support requirements, assessed through domestic, regional and U.S. and NATO European Command exercises.

The series of sessions within the workshop also discussed planning resilience capacities and continuously improving the preparedness of Macedonian society in the domain of NATO's collective defence.

The workshop demonstrated the commitment and contribution made by each national institution, individually and collectively, in building the resilience of the Macedonian society, recognizing the need for development in this area.

This workshop is part of a series of activities launched in 2023, within the framework of the so-called SSCI (Significant Security Coordination Initiative), implemented as part of bilateral cooperation with the United States, namely the Security Management Institute and the Macedonian Ministry of Defence.
