Today, Minister Vlado Misajlovski met with the new European Ambassador H.E. Michalis Rokas, at the premises of the Ministry of Defense.
Misajlovski and European Ambassador Rokas discussed the intensification of cooperation with the European Union in the area of the EU security and defense policy, as a NATO member and a candidate for EU membership.
Misajlovski wished him a successful diplomatic mission and thanked the European Union for the latest assistance package of 13 million euros, which will be financed within the framework of the European Peace Fund, and will contribute to strengthening the Army capabilities and capacities.
Regarding our participation in the missions and operations of the EU Common Security and Defense Policy and in the EU battle groups, the Minister emphasizes that the EU support strengthens the state’s capacities and our contribution to global peace and security.
