Minister Misajlovski met with the Ambassador of Hungary, H.E. András Klein

Today, Minister of Defence, Vlado Misajlovski, had a meeting with the Ambassador of Hungary, H.E. András Klein and with the Defence Attache, Lt. Col. László Nadász.
“I would like to express my gratitude to Hungary, for their tremendous support for our NATO membership, their assistance in facing the COVID-19 pandemic, the migrant crisis, the floods, as well as for their country’s supports with respect to the start of membership negotiations with the European Union”, said Minister Misajlovski and added that any help in our development aimed at achieving the second strategic goal, EU membership, is welcome.

Ambassador Klein assured the Minister that Hungary will continue to support our country, politically and in their advisory capacity during the accession process.

At the meeting, the interlocutors also discussed the security situation in Europe and beyond, with Minister Misajlovski emphasizing that we remain determined to actively participate in the promotion of peace and security through the EU defence initiatives that will contribute to strengthening global and transatlantic security.

The interlocutors discussed the strengthening of defence cooperation, which would include joint trainings and exercises, use of our regional facilities TA Krivolak, the Public Affairs Regional Center, the Military Medical Center, training and education in the Training Centers in Hungary, expert meetings in several areas, etc.
