At today's ceremony, Deputy Minister Shabani, on the occasion of marking this day, emphasized the significant role of employees in this segment, who represent an important pillar in protecting state interests and the stability of the country in times of complex challenges, as a result of their preparedness, analytical skills and ability to recognize risks in a timely manner.
"Today we live in a time when threats are less and less visible, and more and more complex. Disinformation, cyber-attacks, hybrid threats and security risks that develop at the speed of technology require institutions that are modern, prepared and resilient. Therefore, a strong and professional security and intelligence system is not a choice, but rather a necessity", emphasized Shabani, adding that they have his utmost support and respect for everything they invest daily in fulfilling the mission.
The Director of the Directorate for Security and Intelligence in the Defence, Igor Jankulovski, in his address to the attendees, underlined that in the past 82 years since the beginnings of military intelligence and counterintelligence activities and 34 years since the existence of the military security and intelligence service, capacities have been continuously built to respond to security challenges. Expressing gratitude to the Minister of Defence Vlado Misajlovski for his support, trust and continuous creation of better working conditions and to the other organizational units in the ministry, he emphasized the following: "...with joint efforts we show that the institution has the capacity, knowledge and strength to deal with the most complex security challenges. This is not the result of individuals, but is the result of close work, trust and a common goal to preserve the security, stability and interests of the state and citizens".
