Today, the Day of Military Security and Intelligence was marked at the Museum of the Macedonian Struggle. The celebration was attended by Defense Minister Vlado Misajlovski, the Chief of the General Staff of the Army, Major General Sashko Lafchiski, and other generals and senior representatives from the Army and the Ministry of Defense.
On this occasion, Minister Misajlovski addressed the audience, emphasizing that due to the constant changes taking place in the field of security, the rapid development of technologies and the large number of hybrid threats, it is of particular importance to have a strong security and intelligence service that can counter all these influences.
“The Directorate for Security and Intelligence in Defense is built by top professionals who work every day and contribute to our common commitment – a safe, secure, stable Macedonia. You are the key link in the defense system that strengthens the safety and security of our citizens,” Misajlovski said.
The event was also addressed by the Director of the Directorate for Security and Intelligence in Defense, Colonel Igor Jankulovski, who acknowledged the professionalism and dedication of the members of the Military Service in fulfilling their work assignments for protection of national interests.
“Intelligence today is not just an eye in the dark – it is a tool for proactive action, the shield of state security, the pivot of the defense of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the state, in an era of complex international challenges,” Jankulovski said
