Misajlovski at the DV Day for the “Immediater Response 25” exercise: this exercise is a clear demonstration of the Macedonian Army’s commitment to national and collective security

Today (2 May), the Distinguished Visitors’ Day for the “Immediate Response 25” exercise was held at the largest army training area “Krivolak”, as the largest-scale exercise being carried out in our country this year. Minister Vlado Misajlovski told the attendees, including President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova and Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski, that the exercise represents “a clear demonstration of the commitment of the Macedonian Army to national and regional security, as well as to the stability of the Alliance” and that in this way we are improving NATO’s deterrence and defense capabilities.

“Around 2,200 personnel from seven allied and two partner countries, and a large amount of modern equipment, including engineering and armored vehicles, tanks, combat, transport and transport-medical helicopters, are part of this exercise,” said Misajlovski, adding that with the participation of members from the armies of neighboring countries, we are conveying a clear message that “we are all investing together in the security and stability of the region and at the same time strengthening and expanding our cooperation.”

The Minister also emphasized the importance and strategic position of our Krivolak training area, which is a “unique training facility with the ability to conduct large-scale exercises.”

The exercise “Immediate Response 25”, which is being conducted in the period from 26 May to 9 June, engages over 2,200 soldiers – members of the Macedonian Army and the armed forces of six allied countries – the United States, Albania, Greece, Italy, Montenegro, the United Kingdom and two partner countries – Austria and Kosovo. The activities employ modern military equipment, including engineering and armored vehicles, tanks, combat, transport and transport-medical helicopters.
