Misajlovski on the Day of the Logistics Base: You are a significant part of the system and an essential element for the functionality of the Army

Defence Minister Vlado Misajlovski attended and addressed the ceremony marking the Day of the Logistics Base at the Ilinden barracks, today (May 20), stating that they are "an important part of the system and an essential element for the functionality of the Army."

Misajlovski told the members of the Logistics Base that the success of the activities carried out by members of the Army was due to the Logistics Base and the members who enable efficient, organized and functional logistics.

"Logistics has always been a pillar of the success of all military units and for that I would like to congratulate you from the bottom of my heart. The fact that you coordinate support for the allied forces transiting through our country and that you provide logistical support for the implementation of the largest exercises that marked this period, including the 'Blesok 26[Flash 26]' exercise, of which we are extremely proud, shows your essential place in the defence system," said Misajlovski.

The Minister also underlined the trust that citizens have in the Army, thanks to the support from the Logistics Base in dealing with natural disasters, emergencies and crises.

"Your support in dealing with major natural disasters, emergencies and crisis, your support in the implementation of the activities of various organizations and associations, enables the Army to be with its citizens and serve as a pillar on which they can rely in all kinds of situations," underlined the Minister.

In his address, the Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Army, Major General Azim Nuredin, emphasized that the Logistics Base has been a key segment in the Army's support system, emphasizing that without efficient and timely logistics, there would be no successful implementation of any task, exercise or operation.

The Commander of the Logistics Base, Colonel Muharem Muharemi, emphasized that "logistics is not just support, it is the lifeblood of every military organization - an invisible force that enables movement, supply, maintenance and functionality at any moment and in any situation."

The ceremony was also attended by the Deputy Minister of Defence, Admir Shabani.

The Logistics Base marks the 20th of May in memory of the Razlovci Uprising of 1876, when the first organized logistical preparations related to the uprising began. By decision of the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Army, this date has been designated as the day of the Logistics Base Day.
