, officially starting the new academic year for future officers.

Minister Misajlovski told the new cadets to be proud for being part of an established and regionally renowned Academy that creates future leaders for the Macedonian Army and the armed forces of several countries in the region.

“You are the heart of the homeland, new generals and officers will emerge from you. I feel proud to see this image with the Macedonian uniform, but also with the cadets from friendly countries who are together with us”, stated Minister Misajlovski before the cadets. He added that by including cadets from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro, we are developing regional cooperation, and the Academy is a symbol of knowledge and leadership. “Be strongly engaged, show how you love your homeland because you are the future of the Army”, said Misajlovski.

Minister Helez emphasized that the goals of stability, peace and membership in the Euro-Atlantic structures are not just political aspirations, but a need for our peoples for security, prosperity and a dignified life. “The Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina continue with their intensive reforms, so that we can be fully interoperable with NATO forces and in accordance with European standards. In that process, the experiences and support of countries that have gone through those phases, such as your country, are invaluable for us”, said the Minister.

The first academic class was addressed by the Dean of the Military Academy, Colonel Nenad Taneski, who told the cadets that “the uniform you wear is a symbol of honour, trust and service to the homeland and to regional security and peace”, indicating that the meeting in the same composition, after the four-year education, when the cadets will be promoted to second lieutenants, will be the best confirmation of their joint success.
