Minister of Defence Vlado Misajlovski is part of the government delegation led by Prime Minister Hristijan Mickovski that is participating in the NATO Heads of State and Government Summit, held from July 9 to 11, in Washington, the USA. The delegation of the Ministry of Defence includes the Head of the Minister’s Cabinet, Elizabeta Chupovska Ristova and Keti Risteska, Head of Defence Section in the Permanent delegation to NATO.
During his stay in the USA, Minister Misajlovski, together with the other members of the Macedonian delegation, the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade and of the Minister of Interior, Timcho Mucunski and Panche Toshkovski, respectfully, led by Prime Minister Mickovski, will have meetings with congressmen and representatives of the think-tank community, as well as meetings with representatives of the business community.
In addition to participating in the North Atlantic Council Meeting (NAC), on the side-lines of the Summit, Minister Misajlovski, together with his colleagues from Italy, Albania, and Bulgaria will sign a Letter of Intent for establishing a harmonized corridor for military mobility as part of Corridor VIII.
In addition, Minister Misajlovski, together with the members of the delegation from the Ministry of Defence, will participate in the formal reception for the Ministers of Defence of the NATO member countries, organized by the United States Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin.
The US Chamber of Commerce, for the first time, is organizing an event as part of the NATO Summit on the topic of Defence Industry Forum, which will be attended by the Head of the Minister’s Cabinet, Elizabeta Chupovska Ristova.
