Misajlovski at the oath-taking ceremony of the 28th class of cadets: Your choice shows that you love your homeland – Be motivated and dedicated in studying the military profession

“I congratulate you on your choice to dedicate your working career to the Army, but primarily to the citizens and the state. You, and we together with you, are starting a new chapter in your lives”, emphasized Minister of Defense Vlado Misajlovksi at today’s oath-taking ceremony of the 28th class of cadets at the “General Mihailo Apostolski” Military Academy – Skopje, which was attended by the President and the Commander-in-Chief of of the Army, Gordana Siljanovska Davkova, the Chief of General Staff of the Army, Major General Sashko Lafchiski, Deputy Minister of Defense Elfet Ismaili, the Dean of the Military Academy, Colonel Mitko Bogdanovski and other guests from the military diplomatic corps, the Army and the Ministry of Defense and families of the cadets.

 

Minister Misajlovski said that the cadets are starting a new chapter in their lives in the institution that has the most trust among citizens. He added that their first steps are at the Military Academy, which is a respectable higher educational institution in a broad framework, from which many high-quality officers have emerged who have made and continue to make a significant contribution to the affirmation and development of the Macedonian Army.

Misajlovski welcomed the cadets from Montenegro and Bosnia addressing them as follows: In the upcoming four years, jointly and dedicatedly master the secrets of the military profession, improve yourselves, because you will specialize in an area that is specific and yet characteristic according to standards, expertise, discipline and, most importantly, cooperation. Together in the next 4 years you will learn, train and contribute to the development of our cooperation. Today as cadets, and tomorrow as army officers who take care of the safety of their fellow citizens, an example of success, an example of readiness, to flawlessly overcome the challenges that lie ahead of us”, emphasized Minister Misajlovski.

“You cadets are the future, you cadets are the precious potential of the Macedonian army. Difficult, but also interesting studies await you at a very fine academy. Over the past, almost three decades, the “Mihailo Apostolski” Military Academy has grown into a respectable institution, recognized in regional frameworks, but also more widely. We must continue to work on its development and progress”, said the President and Supreme Commander of the Army, Gordana Siljanovska Davkova.

At today’s ceremony, the Dean of the Military Academy, Colonel Mitko Bogdanovski, addressed the attendants, stating: “Your oath not only binds you, but also paves the way for a life filled with challenges, but also with invaluable opportunities.” The military profession is not easy, but it is noble and filled with dignity. This is the path you have to take to become leaders, not only in the Army, but also leaders of the NATO alliance.”

This year, 33 cadets are enrolled at the “General Mihailo Apostolski” Military Academy as part of the 28th class, 25 of whom are from North Macedonia (19 men and 6 women), 5 cadets from Bosnia and Herzegovina and 3 cadets from Montenegro.
