“Russia’s unprovoked aggression against Ukraine has a strong impact on all of us, on the security of our countries and our citizens. We are all feeling the consequences today and will continue to feel them in the future. This is a war where there can be only one outcome, and that is the defeat of Moscow’s aggressive policy,” said Deputy Defense Minister Elfet Ismaili in her address at the Southeast Europe Defense Ministers meeting of the SEDM initiative, which is being held in Tirana , Republic of Albania from 5 to 7 November.
Ismaili thanked the Albanian Minister of Defense Piro Vengu for the hospitality and the SEDM Chairperson, Simona Cojocaru, and on behalf of the Minister of Defense Vlado Misajlovski, greeted the attendees and emphasized the commitment of our country to the SEDM process and regional cooperation in defense and security issues.
This Ministerial meeting is a gathering of representatives from SEDM member countries, where representatives from RACVIAC and UNDP/SEESAC also participate in the activities of the initiative.
The aim of this initiative is the promotion of regional cooperation and good neighborly relations, strengthening of regional defense capabilities, cooperation through collective efforts and the creation of connections that facilitate the integration in the Euro-Atlantic institutions.
