Minister of Defense, Vlado Misajlovski, together with the Chief of the General Staff, Major General Sasko Lafchiski, visited today (9 April) the Operations Command of the Macedonian Army at Kumanovo barracks “Boro Menkov” – a command that includes all types of Army branches and services.
During the visit, the Minister was briefed on the activities of the Command, as well as on the next development plans. Misajlovski said that he is proud of the members who are part of the Command and the units within, adding that they are a true reflection of the professionalism of the Army and the commitment to the citizens’ safety and security. The Ministry will continue to work dedicatedly to support the development of the Army, especially in the process of modernization and equipping, the Minister said at the joint meeting.
Along with Minister Misajlovski and the Chief of the General Staff, General Lafchiski, the Operations Command was also visited by Deputy Chief, General Azim Nuredin, and the Director of the General Staff, General Orce Jordev, who were welcomed by the Operations Commander, Brigadier General Mirche Gjorgoski.
The structure of the Operations Command comprises the First Infantry Brigade, the aviation Ving, the Military Police Battalion, the Liaisons Battalion, the Reconnaissance and Intelligence Battalion, the Special Forces Battalion, and the Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Defense Company.
