In the period 24-28 November, hosted by Romania, the regional Command and Staff Exercise “SEESIM 25” was held, where through an established communication and information system for modelling and simulations from its territory, included participants from our country, Albania, Bulgaria, Greece, Moldova, Slovenia, Turkey, the South-Eastern Europe Brigade (SEEBRIG) and the NATO Crisis Management and Disaster Response Center of Excellence from Sofia.
The aim of this regional exercise is to increase cooperation, coordination and interoperability between the countries of Southeast Europe, as well as operationalize the projects from the SEDM Defence Ministerial in the field of disaster management.
SEESIM 2025 is based on a scenario of multiple natural and hybrid threats, with national emergency operations centers, through the already established information and communication system, jointly and in coordination, undertake essential tasks and measures necessary to respond to national and regional emergency and crisis situations.
The exercise, which was carried out at the Crisis Management Center, was led by the Ministry of Defence, and was also attended by representatives from the Army, the Protection and Rescue Directorate, the Crisis Management Center, the Ministry of Interior, other state institutions, public enterprises, and the Red Cross.
