Shekerinska starts a series of meetings in Vermont today with the political-military establishment of the state and the National Guard
Following the successful meetings at the Pentagon with Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and his close associates, Under Secretary Colin Kahl and Assistant Secretary of Defense Laura Cooper, and with the new Western Balkans envoy Gabriel Escobar at the State Department, Minister Shekerinska is in the State of Vermont today.
In Vermont, Shekerinska will meet Deputy Governor Molly Gray and will visit the Air National Guard base, where she and her hosts will discuss future activities in the Army’s cooperation with the Vermont National Guard.
The Minister will also visit the state’s planning and operations range and will attend a briefing at the State Emergency Operations Center, where she will be briefed on how the state of Vermont handles natural disasters and catastrophes, including fires. .
Minister Shekerinska will hold a press conference in Vermont together with her hosts, which will be dedicated to the long-term cooperation between the two countries and the two armies.
The visit is hosted by the Adjutant General of Vermont National Guard, Major General Gregory Knight, who accompanied the Macedonian delegation to Washington.
