Shekerinska at a working meeting with Defence Minister Panagiotopoulos in Athens
Today, the Minister of Defence Radmila Shekerinska will have a working meeting with her Greek counterpart, the Minister of Defence Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos. At the same time, the Minister will attend the opening of the International Defence and Security Exhibition (DEFEA 21) which is being held in Athens.
During the meeting, the two ministers will discuss the plan for bilateral defence cooperation for 2021, which includes seventy activities, some of which will be held in Greece and some in North Macedonia, and which reflects the positive spirit of cooperation between the two countries in the defence and beyond.
The Minister will also meet with Heidi Grant, Director of the US Defence and Security Cooperation Agency, which is part of the US Department of Defence. The discussion at the meeting is expected to focus on the current activities between North Macedonia and the United States in the area of modernization of our defence and the procurement of equipment on a “government-to-government” (G2G) basis.
The DEFEA international exhibition is an event where military companies present the latest developments in the field. The fair will be attended by a number of key companies in the industry that participate in the equipping and modernization of most NATO armies.
